Bernie Ecclestone: Complete and Utter Cock

This is not Bernie Ecclestone Greeting Formula One Winners

In shades of his ‘apology’ to Danica Patrick for likening female racing drivers to domestic appliances, Bernie Ecclestone has reacted to anger at comments of his interpreted as admiring of Hitler. Just as he followed his ‘apology’ to Patrick with a reiteration of the original remarks, now the Daily Mail is reporting that he chastised the horrified World Jewish Congress for concentrating on his brain-farts instead of sorting out the banking crises. The reason being, “they have a lot of influence everywhere”.

Even though he was not, as the Daily Mail headline suggested, blaming Jews for the banking crises but blaming them for not subsequently rectifying it, he remains a complete and utter cock.

As with Patrick, another ‘apology’ followed in which he told The Jewish Chronicle, “I’m just sorry that I was an idiot. I sincerely, genuinely apologise”.

Aye, right.

The Daily Mail reported that he explained, “during the 1930s Germany was facing an economic crisis but Hitler was able to rebuild the economy, building the autobahns and German industry”.

Fuck-wit.

It is bad enough hearing this hogwash from self-declared anti-capitalists intent on creating an all-encompassing metanarrative in which Nazism must be made synonymous with industrialism and capitalism, but positively idiotic to hear it from a short-arse who would have been amongst the first to the sterilization chamber under Aktion T4 or whose business would have been appropriated by Nazi henchmen.

Hitler’s economic policies were the equivalent of radium drinks, which produced a brief flush and eurycocytes were desperately produced by the body to stave off the creeping radiation sickness. Within a couple of years he took the recovering German economy and sucked all the capital and control to the centre, with diaries of industrialists at the time lamenting the arrival of Party loyalists who ran parallel companies before usurping the former.

The true idiocy in claiming that Nazism was underpinned by a capitalistic economic policy can be seen in proponents citing a General Motors spokesman who, in 1940, attempted to allay fears that the USA would enter war alongside the Allies. There was the need to say this *because* Nazism was inimical to such a system, and those industrialists who did seek to cooperate with the Nazis were more suggestive of their personal greed and amorality.

Perhaps Ecclestone would have found common purpose with Hitler in 1933-9, as Hitler’s Motor Racing Battles by Eberhard Reuss suggests.

On ascension to power, the Nazis immediately introduced legislation which banned the issuing racing licenses to Jews and other non-Aryans. One man affected was the motorcylist, Leo Steinweg who was eventually murdered at Flossenberg in March 1945.

Another observation that Reuss makes is that when British racing driver, Dick Seaman (no child would be called that now) upset expectations and won the 1938 German Grand Prix, he was accompanied to the winning podium by the German preferred favourite, Manfred von Brauchitsch who did not even finish the race. Von Brauchitsch appears to be the only non-winner in Grand Prix history to have done so.

A very touchy subject, as can be appreciated, for organizers of the upcoming German Grand Prix, as well as for Jews and normal human beings with a scintilla of compassion of good taste. As such, I am not one bit surprised that The Jewish Chronicle is reporting that Ecclestone has cancelled a planned trip, as Formula One supremo, to Germany this week.

Maybe he could send his preferred candidate for British Prime Minister, President of FIA and son of fascists, Max Mosley instead. Mosley is a fearless former driver himself.
