Previously I have written about sexual predator, Mark Devereaux who was convicted of knowingly engaging in unprotected sexual intercourse without informing his partners that he was HIV+. One woman was infected, and went on to abort her unborn twins.
Both HIV Scotland and the Terrence Higgins Trust expressed “concern” that what is in effect attempted GBH would be stigmatized, even “where no harm had occurred”. The disconnect needed to make this statement is staggering considering that one woman was infected.
Now, the BBC reports that Nadja Benaissa from No Angels, a German girl-band has admitted similar. At least one former partner was infected. She was arrested in Frankfurt last year, and goes on trial at Darmstadt this week.
