Official! John o’Groats: an Armpit of a Town

This week’s Caithness Courier reports on the entirely unsurprising news that John o’Groats has won the 2010 Carbunkle Award.

I discussed previously a joint-project between the owners of Castle Grayskull, Heritage Britain and Natural Retreats to improve this image. With luck, the town will no longer be in running for this award by the middle of the decade.
